Walking into a new church for the first time can be an intimidating experience. Every church is different, and it can be difficult to enter a place where everyone already seems to know each other. When you visit us at Rockwall and Brin, however, we will do everything we can to make you feel as welcome as possible, and we hope that we will communicate to you the warm, family atmosphere and sense of love that we hold for each other. Rockwall and Brin is a church where everyone is welcome!  | What Do I Wear?
At Rockwall and Brin, you will find people who come to worship in jeans, and you will find people who wear suits and ties or nice dresses. The majority of our members come dressed somewhere in between with a "business casual" style. Your presence is much more important to us than your attire, and we would love for you to come as you are! back to top
| | | What Am I Expected to Do During Worship?
There are several different elements that make up our worship service, and we invite you to participate in each part with us. All of our singing is done by the entire Church family, we don't have a choir, and it's all done without musical accompaniment. We believe it's a great joy for all Christians to sing songs together. Every Sunday morning around the middle of our worship service we take communion, a symbolic meal, which consists of bread and grape juice. The purpose of our communion is to help us focus on the Good News of Jesus. After we serve communion, we pass around offering trays to collect money to finance our ministries and missions. As our guest, we don't want you to feel any pressure to give, but we are happy to have this chance to give as we think about how God has blessed us. Our services also have a time of preaching in which our minister will examine a section of the Bible and teach about how that scripture can help us live a better life. Our order of worship changes from week to week, but we typically begin and end with a prayer, and we usually finish around eleven o'clock. back to top
| | | What About Bible Class?
Every Sunday morning before worship we have adult Bible classes which are divided into general age groups (young adults, middle-aged adults, etc.). We also have classes specifically designed for children, youth, and college-age individuals. We have someone available at our welcome center who will be more than happy to help you and your family find the right Bible class to attend. In Bible class we spend our time studying and discussing the Bible and exploring how biblical principles apply to our everyday lives. If you choose to come to Bible class you will find people who are eager to get to know you, and who come from a wide variety of backgrounds. In our Bible classes, some people talk at lot and some don't talk at all. We will certainly not pressure you to speak in front of the group or read aloud, but we also want you to know that we are very happy to have you study with us. Some of our members have a vast knowledge of the Bible and some have just started reading it for the first time, so no matter where you are in your life, we are glad to have you in Bible Class! back to top
| | | What is the Goal of Rockwall and Brin Church of Christ?
At Rockwall and Brin, we always want to make sure we're not just "going through the motions." We are trying hard to live as Godly people on a daily basis. We want to serve the needs of the community around us by helping people with food and clothing, as well as taking part in local events designed to improve the lives of Terrell residents. We also seek to serve each other by caring for one another in difficult situations and deepening relationship as we help each other navigate through life. Ultimately, our goal is to grow the Kingdom of God by sharing the Good News of Jesus so our friends and neighbors can experience a healthy, growing, life-changing relationship with God. We believe that only by having a growing relationship with God within a church founded on Jesus Christ can people find true fulfillment in life and enjoy the eternal blessing of heaven after this life is over.
