The Aggies for Christ Weekend
The Aggies for Christ will be here this weekend, and we're looking forward to sharing an exciting and energizing few days with them! The Aggies for Christ are members of the student ministry of the A&M Church of Christ in College Station.  Each weekend during the fall and spring semesters groups of AFC members travel to area churches and children's homes to help with work projects, spend time with youth and children's groups, and serve where they are needed.  We've had a great time with the Aggies the past two years, and I'm excited that they'll be here again this weekend. 

Remember!  We are still in need of one or two more families to host 2-4 Aggies in their homes this weekend!  I think you'll be blessed by the time you'll spend with them, and I hope some of you will decide to open up your homes to a few of these young Christians.
Remember also! The Children's Day for 2nd-6th graders begins at 10AM and will end at 3PM this Saturday!  This is going to be a great event for our kids, and we're looking forward to spending time with kids from area churches.  We'll be getting pumped up for children's camp this summer, but it will be fun even for those who are not planning to go to camp.
Remember! The cookout at the Looney's will begin at around 6PM on Saturday evening!  This is an event primarily for our Youth Group and the Aggies, but we would love for as many of you to come as possible--we'll eat, play games, and have a devotional at the Looney's farm.  We'll leave from the church building at 5:30PM.
Remember ESPECIALLY! We will have a fellowship meal for the entire congregation on Sunday!  Bring your sides, salads, and desserts and plan to stay and eat after AM worship!

This is going to be a great weekend, and I hope you will plan to be part of it!

Thank you to everyone who helped our Youth Group attend the NETSYS Winter Retreat this weekend! It was a great retreat and we had a great time!

February 3-5 (This Friday-Sunday)
Aggies for Christ Weekend and Area-Wide Children's Day!  The Aggies are coming!  We'll welcome a group of college students from College Station on Friday, Feb 3.  We'll host them in our homes, and on Saturday, they'll help us host an area-wide event for incoming 2rd-6th graders (NETKids) from 10AM-3PM.  After the kids have gone, we'll take the Youth Group, adults from church, and the Aggies, and head to the Looney's for a cook out, devotional, and bonfire.  On Sunday morning the Aggies will help with classes and services, and then we'll close with a Fellowship Meal together in the gym.  Look at the note above to find out how you can serve!  Sign up sheets are in the foyer, and you can call, text, or email David T. to find out more information.  Let's make this a great weekend!

February 5, 3:00-5:00PM (This Sunday Afternoon)
LTC Practice Begins!  Bible Bowl practice at 3:00PM, Choir practice at 4:00PM.  If you are signed up for either of these events, you need to come to practice!

February 5, 10:15AM (This Sunday Morning)
Bible Hour Age Extention.  In our last Children's Ministry meeting, we decided to extend the age range for Bible Hour to 3y/o-2nd Grade.  We hope that this will energize our Bible Hour crowd and help us draw from a larger pool of Bible Hour leaders.  We'll begin the extention this Sunday morning.  The Goldberg's are our leaders this month.

2012 Teacher Sign-Up Sheet
The Spring Quarter will begin on February 19, and before that, I would like to finalize our teacher rotation for the year 2012.  I am circulating a sign-up sheet, and asking that all teachers sign up for at least two quarters for 2012.  This will help us plan in advance for our teaching rotation.  

March 10-15
Mission McAllen! Our annual Spring Break Mission Trip is almost here and it's time to begin signing up! I've placed a sign-up sheet in the foyer, and if you (adults) or your kids are planning to attend, please sign up!  I've received word that several of our partnering congregations have already filled their rosters, so if you plan to go, please sign up soon!  We'll need several adults to go on the trip, and we'd also love to have a few students from our college ministry come as well. The deadline to sign up is February 20.
